National Margarita Day!

Let’s face it. The most hated day of the week is Monday. Monday’s are a weekly reality check of the responsibilities we avoided over the weekend. Monday’s suck. Point. Blank. Period….

However, this particular Monday gets a pass because it’s National Margarita Day, and I have the perfect cure for your Manic Monday.


Barsmith Mixer Company and I have partnered up to bring you some amazing margarita recipes that will knock you straight into the weekend!

Blood Orange Margarita

Items Needed:

3 oz of fresh blood orange juice

3/4 oz of Barsmith lime juice

2 oz tequila

1 oz Barsmith simple syrup

a few dashes of bitters

How to: Mix all ingredients with ice in a shaker glass. Pour over fresh ice, and garnish with a blood orange slice.

Honey Ginger Margarita


Items Needed:

2 oz tequila

3/4 oz Grand Marnier or any orange liqueur

1/2 oz Barsmith Margarita Mix

1/2 oz of Barsmith honey ginger syrup

How to: Mix all ingredients with ice in a shaker glass. Pour over fresh ice and garnish with fresh ginger, or any garnish of your choice.

Watermelon Jalapeno Margarita


Items Needed:

1 jalapeno

2 oz tequila

1 oz watermelon puree

3/4 oz agave

1 oz Barsmith margarita mix

How to: Muddle a few slices of jalapeno, then mix with remaining ingredients and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a watermelon slice.

 Blackberry Moonshine Margarita


Items Needed:

2 oz blackberry moonshine

1 oz of Barsmith margarita mixer

1 oz Barsmith simple syrup

1 oz triple sec

1 oz tequila

How to: Mix all ingredients (with the exception of the moonshine) in a shaker glass. Pour over fresh ice, then top with moonshine. Garnish with lime.

And there you have it!!!


Four different margarita recipes to try out. As always, recipes do not have to be followed exactly so if you experiment with these, I’d love to know what you came up with! Cheers!
